Description
This process will run through the steps to set up your Vistry iPhone from scratch. This will also be the process to follow for setting up you Vistry iPad.
Process
If you already have a Vistry iPhone, please ensure this is backed up prior to setting up your new iPhone. To do this please follow the below steps:
- Connect your iPhone to a secure Wi-Fi network
- Go to Settings > Your name > tap iCloud
- Then tap on iCloud Backup and then "Back Up Now"
- Please wait for the backup to be completed before setting up your new device
1. Turn on your newly issued iPhone, this can take a few seconds. You will then see the "hello" screen and it'll ask you to choose your preferred language. Once you've selected this you will asked to select your preferred Country or Region |
2. The next screen that appears is "Quick Start". If you have your current device (and backed up) put this next to your new device and then follow the instructions on screen. If not, you will need to tap on "Set Up Manually" |
3. You will now be asked to connect to a network. Please ensure that you do this as the device will need to download some software. Once connected, you will see "Next" in top right hand corner, tap on this to proceed. The phone will now register automatically with Apple |
4. Now you'll be presented with the Remote Management screen, tap "Next" in the top right hand corner to proceed |
5. You will now be asked if you want to set up Face ID, skip this step by tapping "Set Up Later" or tap on "continue" and follow the instructions to set up now |
7. Now you will be asked to sign in with your Apple ID. If you know this, add in your details. If not, tap on "Forgot password or don't have an Apple ID" and on the next prompt tap "Don't Use" |
7. Setting up iMessage and FaceTime. Please tap on Continue and follow the instructions on screen. |
8. When you see the "Welcome to iPhone" the initial steps of the phone have been setup. Then you'll see the home screen. There may be items that are still downloading, so leave this connected to Wi-Fi to finalise |
Now your device is set up, you need to set up the Company Portal so that you can access your work emails and Vistry Apps.
1. Find the Company Portal on your home screen. You will then be asked to set a passcode. Tap on "Change Now" and create your passcode |
2. Now create a passcode. It can be either format: "Password1357" or a 6 digit number. Please note: the 6 digit number cannot have consecutive numbers (eg 123456) or too easy (eg 111111). Once created, you will need to re-enter it and tap "Set Passcode" |
3. Once you've set your passcode. Tap on the Company Portal App and tap "Sign In". Then enter your Vistry email address, tap "Next". |
4. Now enter your password (this will be the same as your PC log in). Once you've done this, you will need to confirm your identity. A code should have been received via text, add this is and tap "Verify" |
5. Now the set up will begin. Tap "Begin" to continue. When the first step is completed, you will now see a green tick next to "Get your device managed". Now tap "Continue" |
6. The Company Portal will now check through your device to make sure it's Vistry compliant. Once completed a green tick will appear next to "Checking device setting". now tap "Done" |
7. The Company Portal will need to send you notifications if there are any issues. Tap "Ok" and then "Allow". You will now be shown a screen showing the Vistry Apps that have been installed |
8. Go back to your home screen, you will see that Outlook has been installed for you. Tap this to open. You will then see that it's automatically found your account, tap "Add Account" |
9. You will need to authenticate yourself again, to do this tap "Open Authenticator". You will see confirmation of your email address, tap "Open" to continue |
10. Now select your Vistry Account and enter your password for your account. You will also receive a text to verify your account, add this in and click "Verify" |
11. When you see the below screen, tap on "Maybe Later" to go to your inbox |
12. You will now see your inbox. It is automatically set to "Focused" inbox, if you don't want this enabled, Go to settings (within Outlook app) > Scroll down to Focused Inbox (under email) > Tap to turn off. Go back to your inbox and you will no longer see Focused Inbox |
