Description
This document details the steps to take to enable Super Administrator Privileges in a COINS environment.
Process
- First raise a Remedy ticket requesting Super Administrator Privileges for the specific COINS environment.
- With agreement of the COINS analyst who picks up the request, open a Teams chat.
- Hover mouse over User ID in COINS (top right, next to COINS logo)
- Click on "Super Administrator Privileges"
- Copy and paste the Token to the COINS analyst in the chat - Ensure the Token window stays open, or the token will be invalid.
Please note, the token is only valid for a couple of minutes while displayed so this process needs to be efficiently executed.
- The COINS analyst will provide the Passkey to be copied back into the Passkey field in response to receiving the Token.
- Click NEXT
- A pop up in the bottom right of the COINS page should state that Super Admin privileges have been set.
Notes
It is not clear when Super Administrator privileges are active so one way to check is within the System module you will see a sub menu called "Toolbox".
Super admin only stays active while your COINS session is active, if its deactivated you need to go through the steps again to gain access.
